Taszia Adkinson Named to Big Easy Blastoff All-Tournament Team

Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) volleyball player Taszia Adkison has been named to the Big Easy Blastoff All-Tournament Team. The announcement was made Monday by Xavier, who hosted this year's tournament.

"This is a great honor for Taszia," said SUNO Volleyball Head Coach Zipporah Washington. "She moved to the setter position this year, and our team has really benefited from her ability to get the ball to different hitters and also have the height and power to attack as well."

Adkinson finished the four-game tournament with 19 kills, 66 assists, and four blocks. She added five aces to her tally for the weekend.

"Taszia's versatility is fun to watch," said Washington. "I'm looking forward to what she will accomplish this season."

The Knights return to action on Friday, September 5 at 6 p.m. against Rust College as they host the Big Easy Roundup.
